As the front-line risk management organization for Wealth & Investment Management (WIM), WIM Control is accountable for the strategic development, management and oversight of the control environment across WIM's business lines, implemented through partnership with business and corporate function leaders. WIM Control Investment Risk Governance Consultant. The position is responsible for ensuring that WIM's Investment Risk Program aligns with requirements and satisfies the expectations of internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will work leaders within WIM, Independent Risk Management and Internal Audit to carry out this primary objective.
WIM's Fiduciary, Investment, Market and Model Risk Team (FIMM) within WIM Control is responsible for ensuring that the firm has processes in place to provide and implement sound investment advice.

Develop and execute work plans to remediate regulatory and Internal Audit issues.
Collect input from LOB, Internal Audit, Issues Management Team, Pre-Validation teams and Independent Risk Management leaders and build consensus on remediation approaches.
Partner with the Investment Risk team and others to design, implement and execute data integrity controls for investment risk reporting processes.
Partner with the Investment Risk Consultants to improve the processes for the monitoring, review and analysis of managed client portfolios and model portfolios.
Work with WIM and Independent Risk Management leaders to identify, define, source and report an optimal suite of risk appetite metrics for Investment Risk that support all requirements of the ERIA and Risk Measurement Policies.
Design, implement and administer a process for the assessment and identification of potential Emerging Risks based on current developments in the capital markets and geopolitical sphere.
Escalate matters to leadership and/ or governance committees as appropriate.
Work closely with Independent Risk Management to ensure procedures and processes are in alignment with the Risk Management Framework.
Generate and execute on ideas for continuous process improvement.
Provide coaching to lower level consultants.
3+ years of capital markets experience
Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
High attention to detail that is demonstrated through prior work experiences.
Knowledge and understanding of investment portfolio construction, portfolio theory and risk management.
Knowledge of key market risk and investment risk metrics and methodologies including tracking error, VaR, volatility measures, sensitivity analysis, stress testing.
Microsoft Project and Visio experience a plus.
