Business Finance is seeking a talented finance professional to join its Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Finance Team. The team is responsible to help drive strategic direction, optimize financial performance and balance risk appropriately. This role will initially be responsible for supporting the build out of cash flow forecast capabilities for our capital markets trading activities and total financial reporting for CIB's Tier 1-3 legal entities (Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, Wells Fargo Prime Services, LLC, Wells Fargo Finance, LLC and Wells Fargo Risk Services, Inc.). We envision this role would then transition into the on-going governance, oversight, forecasting and reporting of these Primary legal entities, including coordination with the Cost COEs to ensure appropriate financial reporting of expenses. In addition, this role will provide ancillary support to other legal entities utilized within CIB including, but not limited to Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. The role will work across multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to Treasury, CIB Lines of Business, Controllers and Enterprise Finance to help develop and lead complex processes both current and future.
Position responsibilities will include the following:
Work with a multi-discipline group (Finance, LOB, Controllers, Treasury, COE's, etc) in the creation of CIB's Tier 1-3 legal entity financial statements.
Supporting the development and implementation of modeling capabilities for near term cash forecasting for CIB trading activities (across WFS, LLC and WFBNA) including future securities settlements and other expected future behavior of assets, liabilities, and off-balance sheet exposures
Implementing and documenting complex liquidity and capital forecasting model methodologies
Ensure adherence to model risk governance
Active participation in the build-out and eventual ownership of CIB's Tier 1-3 legal entity forecast process
Support the Legal Entity Finance Officers with their legal entity governance accountabilities, including but not limited to quarterly attestations and Service Level Agreements
Preparation of additional ad-hoc analyses/presentations and completing special projects within tight deadlines.
Producing well-written succinct presentations for senior management.
Comfort with responsibilities which may evolve over time.
6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting
A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Financial modeling experience
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Other Desired Qualifications
Experience in finance, accounting or related analytical-focused role within the banking / financial services industry, preferably for a US G-SIB
Understanding of Microsoft Access and SQL
Understanding of the Wells Fargo organization, its business lines, legal entities and financial systems
Demonstrated experience in compliance with complex regulatory requirements
Exposure to broker dealer entities and the business activities they conduct, including derivatives, securities financing, etc.
Demonstrated working knowledge of wide range of bank or financial institution products and services
Ability to contribute to large and complex projects related to balance sheet and income statement analysis
Ability to proactively develop relationships to achieve results
Comfort with defined and undefined responsibilities which may evolve over time
Demonstrated experience with building processes and output to comply with complex regulatory requirements
Demonstrated risk and control knowledge and experience evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of controls, including the development of control test requirements and documentation of testing results
Experience in compliance, operational risk management, or auditing
