The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Consultant is an important team member that reports to the PTAC program manager at the Center for Industrial Services (CIS). CIS helps companies and communities succeed, grow, and create high quality jobs by providing consulting, training, and connecting services across the state.
The PTAC Consultant provides technical assistance to companies interested in procurement opportunities with federal, state, and local governments. Assistance also includes but is not limited to; helping companies with federal acquisition regulations, market research in finding business opportunities, market strategies in selling to the government, and understanding registration and certification processes that are important to our procurement customers.
Duties and Responsibilities: The PTAC Consultant is responsible for educating and assisting our government contracting clients; providing technical assistance with military standards and specifications; and assisting customers with historical pricing, assessments, registrations, certifications, solicitations, and market research.
The PTAC Consultant makes speaking engagements on PTAC services and develops partnerships that help market and promote the PTAC program and the CIS brand.
The PTAC Consultant also supports and advises the PTAC director with planning and addressing important administrative details required by federal grantors and university administration. The position performs other administrative duties as needed and required.
