We currently have several opportunities within our different business areas. Responsibilities will include participation in front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and significant customer activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, customer specifications, and ITAR or other export / import compliance. Candidates must be able to readily adapt in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The Contract Professional supporting our key business areas is responsible for management of the customer relationship acting as the focal point of contact with the customer and the Program Management Teams, together with expedited proposal, negotiation and/or definitization of contracts that are critical to IDS Programs. Must be able to recognize business and contractual issues in program performance implement solutions; carry to completion, while exercising good judgment with minimal supervision.
Minimum of 6 years of applicable work experience in both proposal and execution phases in Contracts, Subcontracts, Supply Chain, EXIM or Program Management
Experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and/or equivalent government regulations.
Experience with contracting concepts, policy & procedure, and compliance principles.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Effective communicator both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills; be adaptable to a variety of business situations.
Must be capable of handling multiple assignments concurrently
Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
Knowledge of basic financial business principles and an understanding of applicability to contracts and business
Strong business acumen with the ability to recognize risk elements in business transactions
NCMA, CFCM, or other professional certification
Ability and willingness to travel
Required Education (including Major):
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Relations, Economics, Business Law or any major related to this job description
