The Senior Coordinator of Experiential Education will work closely with other members of the Office of Experiential Education (OEE) to coordinate practice sites and preceptors for both the introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences for clinical placement, with particular focus on the online pathway of the PharmD program. The Office coordinates all experiential activities in the four-year curriculum, overseeing more than 30% of the total curriculum.
Core responsibilities of this position include:
Oversee coordination of placement activities for the online pathway, including engagement with campus placements
Work closely with the director and assistant director of experiential education to maintain introductory and advanced rotation creation, matching, and assignment process for pharmacy students in both the campus and online pathways
Serve as the placement liaison with the online provider to facilitate placement for online students, address ongoing challenges and communicate approval or disapproval of proposed clinical placement sites
Collaborate with the Provider Placement Team to develop placement policies
Engagement in approving clinical placement sites identified by Provider Placement Team
Establish and oversee the administration of the process for clinical site visits including virtual visits to distance sites
Participate in determining student clinical remediation plans in conjunction with the Experiential Course Director and preceptor.
Support report preparation or additional requirements from the accrediting body (ACPE) regarding placement.
Create and maintain all site affiliations including tracking renewals and expirations
Advise students as needed with rotation questions, creations, and coordination
Education / Experience:
: Qualified applicants will hold a minimum of a BS degree. Preference is given for candidates with a master's degree or who have experience in online education or placement programs Successful candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong desire to contribute to the growth and development of the school in an innovative, thoughtful, and enthusiastic manner.
