JobDescription : The Role: Research Assistant You will be a critical member of the corporate credit ratings team. You are responsible for the collection, collation, interpretation and maintenance of data for analytical purposes. You will support analysts with the preparation of reports and analysis which are used as the basis for credit rating decisions
The Location: Melbourne
The Impact: You will be responsible for the development of spreadsheet statistics and databases and will be actively involved in developing rating committee presentations, portfolio reviews and commentaries

Your skills: Bachelor degree is required.. You have strong research skills, and a willingness to learn analytical and interpersonal skills

Maintain databases and spreadsheets ensuring all necessary data is processed in a timely fashion
Develop spreadsheet statistics, including peer group analysis.
Assist analysts in financial modelling and forecasting
Collate material for management meetings
Source news information from various sources, providing analysts with updated information on stories and breaking news.
Attend and participate in committees and internal meetings
What we're looking for:
Bachelor degree in commerce, finance, accounting or related subjects
Some prior relevant work experience will be an advantage
Strong Excel skills and ability to collate and analyze information
Good organization skill and very high attention to detail
Good time management and prioritization; manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards; and to work in a team.
Be able to effectively communicate (oral, written, presentation)
