The Resident Director will manage a traditional style residence hall housing approximately 650-700 residents and 20 staff members

Supports the residential curriculum by participating in the development and execution of educational plans to advance the department's learning goals.
Supervises, trains, and evaluates the performance of resident assistants, senior resident assistants, and a head resident.
Advises hall government, provides training and resources to support student leadership development and student-initiated programs and activities.
Participates in after-hours crisis response and assigned on-call duty rotation for all campus housing areas.
Reviews incident reports documenting low-level behavioral matters to determine appropriate resolutions; makes referrals or takes appropriate action.
Meets with students of concern and communicates with care coordination staff and others as appropriate.
Participates in the review of building operations in the areas of security, environmental support services, food service, and physical facilities.
Other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education or related field.
Prior experience as a live-in residential life staff member.
*Resident Directors are required to live within 15 minutes of campus due to on-call responsibilities. On-campus living is encouraged and apartments are available for rent at a reduced rate.*
