Information Technology Services plays a critical role in the success of Trinity University by supporting the technology that drives education, research, and business operations. Our division embraces the responsibilities and opportunities inherent in this role by encouraging continuous professional development and career growth for all ITS staff, including our student workforce. Work-life balance is highly valued, and we take a holistic approach to employee engagement, encouraging volunteerism in the campus and wider communities.
Trinity University provides an excellent working environment: a beautiful campus, a generous benefits package, and a belief that all employees deserve a high quality of life. You will work with an internationally recognized faculty and some of the brightest and most ambitious students in the country. Trinity is a liberal arts university that primarily serves undergraduates. It balances a strong sense of community while offering the resources of a much larger university.
What You’ll Accomplish
As the primary Project Manager for the ITS division, you will take pride in ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects. Your day will often consist of monitoring the progress of ongoing projects and developing plans - including the scope, quality, milestones, budget, timeline, and risk registers -- reports, and other related artifacts. You will lead project teams composed of colleagues from other ITS departments and place particular emphasis on communicating with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle and providing the training and resources necessary for smooth implementations. Although you will coordinate many projects, others in the division will at times take on a functional project manager role to extend your abilities. This means you will also serve as the resident expert, responsible for promoting the adoption and correct use of Project Management Methodology (PMM) and supporting those who are less familiar with it.
The Right Fit
We seek a self-directed, positive, and meticulous colleague, one who is passionate about the liberal arts and sciences, one who will represent ITS and Trinity University with pride. Your role will lead to interactions with every team inside ITS and many of our campus customers, so a collaborative approach and professional mindset is very important. Does the challenge of building a strong project portfolio appeal to you? Do the following characteristics describe you?
If the answer is yes, we look forward to reviewing your application.

San Antonio has a distinct and celebrated culture that cannot be found elsewhere and is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, due in large part to its affordable cost of living compared to similar metropolitan regions.
