The Impact: We are looking for a candidate who will assist in supporting the financial reporting and analysis for the functional groups within S&P Global Ratings with insights gained from analyzing financial and non-financial data.

Your skills: You are adept at combining analytic tools and techniques with business partnering expertise to identify and manage key performance drivers. You're able to translate data and information into actionable insights to find opportunities for process optimization and use financial models to test the effectiveness of different scenarios.
Assist with providing effective finance decision support for the S&P Global Ratings functional groups, including regular interaction with the senior leaders and their direct reports.
Develop relationships with key members of the respective functional groups to assist them with the review and forecasting of natural class P&L lines including, but not limited to: Data services, T&E, outside services, data processing costs, cloud services and deferred project costs.
Contribute to the monthly financial estimate and the yearly budget process through development of models and forecasting tools as well as regular discussions with the functional group leaders.
Continuously evaluate and improve the team's internal tools, processes and capabilities related to data acquisition, transformation, analysis and distribution to support the dynamic and growing nature of S&P Global Ratings' information needs.
Assist in working with groups globally to define and periodically refine key performance indicators and expense reduction targets that measure results against intended business outcomes. Improve the decision-making environment by enabling efficient and effective information delivery.
Combine metrics from multiple data sources to create new and creative insights into what is going on in the respective functional groups.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor Degree and at least 5+ years of work experience in Financial Analysis, Operations, and/or Accounting in a large, complex organization.
Experience bridging the different viewpoints of project stakeholders and senior level executives regarding project business impacts
Experienced in dashboard design and focused, thoughtful visual display of quantitative information
The incumbent should have good time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities since many projects are time-critical with short lead-time for completion; independent problem-solving and decision-making skills are necessary.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; Proficiency/knowledge in Alteryx, Tableau, PowerPoint, QlikView, TM1, and Anaplan, or other database tools a plus.
