Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.
In this role, the successful candidate Under the guidance of Dr. Joshua Lee, the Per Diem Research Data Associate will help to implement an LJAF funded project entitled 'Opioid Use Disorder Treatments: An Evidence Map.' The overall goal of this project is to develop an evidence map that encompasses existing research on the topic of opioid use disorder treatments and outcomes. This Evidence Map will serve as a tool to identify gaps in research on Opioid Use Disorder treatment & to highlight policy/government funding of evidence-based research. This project, which will continue through 2019, will take place in the Dept. of Population Health Section on Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug Use A successful applicant for this position will be able to work independently and with staff at all levels, comfortable scientific literature review, and fluent in English.
1. Assist with exhaustive review of the available literature on Opioid Use Disorder
2. Ensure that all included research is properly labeled & categorized
3. Enter & maintain all study data in a master research file.
4. Co-ordinate the production of the online Evidence Map
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Education and Training: 4-year college degree: Current graduate or post-bacc pre-med students welcome. Experience and Skills: Prior research experience a plus. Demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks and meet deadlines. Facility with software applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Characteristics: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with individuals from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. Detail-oriented and organized. Professional in nature and demeanor. Comfortable working in a medical setting.
