The MGH Institute of Health Professions Human Resources team provides faculty, staff and leadership with services and solutions in recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, policy development and interpretation, learning and development, labor relations, strategic organizational restructuring, change management and human resources information systems. Our work in these areas aligns with the Institute's mission and goals, helping the Institute make sound and strategic decisions about human capital while ensuring that all employees are treated with dignity and respect. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Partner/Recruiter collaborates with IHP departments to recruit talented faculty and staff. The position works in a highly collaborative manner with the hiring managers and IHP Human Resources Generalists and to understand the objectives and staffing needs. This position develops and executes customized sourcing and recruiting strategies generating a pipeline of qualified candidates for current, and future, non-exempt and exempt staff positions and faculty roles. This position handles the full life cycle of the recruitment process. The position works closely with hiring managers in creating skilled and diverse candidate pools and assists in making the best hiring decision for each search. The position also acts as the Institute's representative at diversity job fairs and external networking events.
In addition to day to day recruitment efforts, the Talent Acquisition Partner/ Recruiter represents Human Resources on various committees and workgroups responsible for decisions on recruitment tools and strategies that impact the IHP and HR. S/he recommends decisions/changes on recruitment resources and strategy.
Essential Duties • Serves as point of contact for hiring managers and candidates throughout hiring process. • Develops and implements effective and efficient recruiting strategies. • Conducts intake meeting with hiring manager/s to discuss the position, the ideal candidate, advertising venues and recruitment strategies and processes for the search. • Develops appropriate screening criteria to assess resumes and applications • Conducts initial phone screens to assess candidate skills, experience, salary requirements, availability and interest for staff roles. • Interviews candidates as requested by hiring managers and all finalist candidates as selected. • Provides verbal or written feedback regarding candidates to hiring managers and other stakeholders. • Validates all online applications for accuracy. • Performs all necessary background checks for finalist candidates. • Ensures that all recruiting processes are documented, consistent and efficient. • Ensures that all successful candidates are on-boarded properly. • Works with HR Generalist and hiring managers to understand client departments' objectives and anticipates staffing needs. • Develops and executes tactical sourcing strategies aimed at generating candidate flow to meet overall recruiting goals. • Builds a skilled and diverse candidate pool for each search. • Partners with the Office of the Provost to support the faculty search and hiring process as needed. • Utilizes contemporary recruiting and sourcing tools such as job boards, social media, resume databases and search engines to identify active and passive candidates. • Generates and maintains a pipeline of diverse qualified candidates organized by skill set for current and future opportunities. • Provides comprehensive quarterly and annual report including key metrics for recruitment activity and results, and the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion strategies. • Committees/Projects/Events: Serves on Institute wide and Partners HR committees. Performs project work throughout the year to enhance overall HR services. Partners with the AVP HR and other members of the HR team to provide periodic employee events/programs and organize other HR or Institute sponsored activities. Leads HR projects as assigned.
Diversifying the Institute
• Works closely with the HR Team on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment, including but not limited to: job fairs, diversity goals, recruitment strategies, and creating diverse candidate pools, etc. • Commit to understanding the Diversity & Inclusion Strategy across the Institute and Partners HealthCare System. • Build a strong, diverse candidate pipeline, including leveraging external partnerships and reaching out to passive candidates to provide exposure to the Institute and job opportunities. • Support the development and execution of diversity related projects and programs. • Determine Diversity & Inclusion recruiting effectiveness though reporting and data analytics. • Ensures that all sourcing initiatives reflect the Institute's commitment to diversity and are aligned to the overall EEO requirements.
Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree, 2-6 years of recruiting experience, * Experience using on-line Applicant Tracking Systems. * Ability to learn sourcing techniques using contemporary recruiting and sourcing tools such as job boards, social media, resume databases and search engines to identify active and passive candidates.
Preferred Qualifications * Previous higher education experience * Broad knowledge of sourcing tools, posting placement, markets, social media and other active methods of reaching candidates, to reach the widest, most diverse pool of candidates is highly desirable.
* Typical office environment / shared office. * Requires frequent sitting and use of a computer and keyboard. * Position may require some evening and early morning hours to accommodate hiring manager and candidate needs. * Ability to travel to meetings to represent the Institute. * The Institute requires references checks and may conduct other pre-employment screening.
