We are seeking an organized, thorough and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to join our growing team in our corporate office in National City. In this position, the individual will play a key role in managing and drafting contracts for our organization, including negotiating contracts, advising upper management, and ensuring all contracts are completed efficiently. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in both a leadership and team-player role.
Drafting a variety of contracts, including nondisclosure, sales, licensing, distribution, commercial, and public agreements.
Serving as point-of-contact between two parties in contractual matters.
Providing redlined recommendations on contracts.
Negotiating large subcontracts for best terms and conditions on behalf of KMEA and our clients.
Maintaining and updating contractual records, changes, status reports, and other information.
Providing guidance on contracts to staff, managers, and executives.
Monitoring contract compliance with established procedures.
Ensuring all contracts are signed and delivered to relevant parties.
Collaborating with teams, such as Finance or Legal, on contract insurance requirements.
Act as point-of-contact for interpreting legal language in RFQs, RFPs, and related documents.
Supervise Contracts and Purchasing personnel.
Other duties as necessary.
Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Law, or related field.
Current Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certification from National Contract Management Association (NCMA) required.
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in the contracts field.
Minimum five years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations and codes.
Knowledge of federal, state and local contract language.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities and acute attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
IT experience a plus.
Must pass drug test, MVR check and federal government background check.
Must prove eligibility to work in the U.S.
