The School of Education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is continuously seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty teaching positions in Educational Leadership, Policy and Foundations (ELPF). THE INTENT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO IDENTIFY A POOL OF ADJUNCT FACULTY WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO DELIVER GRADUATE LEVEL COURSES IN THE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION.

The Division of Educational Leadership, Policy and Foundations (ELPF) is comprised of two degree areas and one service unit: Pk-12 Educational Administration, Higher Education Administration and Educational Foundations respectively. Adjunct faculty will teach courses traditionally found in these areas (e.g., Building Administration and Management, Human Resources, Government and Legal Aspects of Education, History of Higher Education, The College Student, Organization and Administration, Foundations of Education, etc.).
Appointment and Salary
These are term, non-tenure-accruing positions. Appointment periods are for the semester with consideration for reappointment. Applications will be screened and candidates will be interviewed by the appropriate division. A flat adjunct salary is determined each year.
A complete application includes a letter of application detailing desire and qualifications to teach in one or more of the areas listed above, curriculum vita, a minimum of two current letters of recommendation (must be on letterhead and signed), transcript reflecting the highest degree earned and previous coursework leading up to the highest degree earned
1. Doctorate or equivalent experience required in the instructional area for all graduate level courses.
2. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to urban issues.
3. Familiarity with various online delivery platforms.
An official copy of transcripts(s), showing degree(s) with courses completed, and conferring instituition will be required before an official offer is made to the candidate.

Your appointment is contingent upon verification of your degree.
