The person hired for the position of Federal Government Contract Coordinator will support the day to day administration of government contracts across the 3M enterprise. Job responsibilities will include administering existing 3M contracts in a consistent and compliant manner, managing new contract opportunities to drive growth, and other assigned roles to support operational excellence in contract administration.
This roll will work across the 3M organization and with contract officers across various government agencies to drive growth for the company and compliance with the contracts by developing and executing goals objectives for the assigned contracts.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Leads day to day administration of contracts with the federal government
Implements processes to standardize contract administration and remove waste
Determines ways to help protect and grow company through contracting
Supports assigned contracts with federal agencies
Manage relationships with 3M stakeholders and government procurement channels.
Negotiate with Government/agency and 3M stakeholders.
Manage bids/contract process from proposal to award and through post-award administration
Research, analyze, and implement requirements for Government contracts
Ensure 3M is in compliance with ALL applicable government rules and regulations. 100% compliance is mandatory. Follow 3M’s Code of Conduct
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years of federal government contract administration experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
Minimum of five (5) years of federal government contract administration experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
Skills include project management, proposal response writing and management, and experience interacting with and across large enterprises
Location: Washington, D.C.
Travel: May include up to 10 % domestic travel
Relocation: Is not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
