We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CONTRACTS MANAGERin our Danbury, CT facility, just one hour north of NYC. Relocation assistance provided. This person will be hands-on with all aspects of daily Contract Administration including:
Acting as primary contractual liaison with Customer on programs; establishing solid, ethical relationships with Customers while protecting the company's interests
Supporting solicitation requirements review, proposal preparation/submittal and drafting binding offer letters, and terms/conditions compliance matrix documentation
Working closely with Program Managers, Program Teams, Management, Legal, and Compliance to develop and communicate, both verbally and in writing, positions and risks in accordance with business unit objectives during pre- and post-award phases
Leading negotiation teams in the negotiation of contracts, other agreements; settlements and claims; addressing and mitigating potential issues with customers, other business units and functions.
Assist others, including co-workers in the Contracts Department and other functions, in understanding the precepts of federal contracting, and the ability to recognize salient points.
Preserving contractual records and coordinating/leading formal contractual close-outs
Education / Certifications
BA/BS in an applicable field (business, legal, etc.) is required. Advanced degree preferred.
NCMA certification is a plus
15 years of experience in the field of contract management, with at least 10 years of experience in US Government DoD contracting
Expert understanding of all applicable government regulations including FAR / DFAR / DOE / NASA; TINA, CAS, Cost Principles, and Weighted Guidelines, and Audit support
Working knowledge of FFP/FPIF/ CPAF/CPIF/CPFF/T&M and hybrid contract types, and the drafting, evaluation and negotiation of Special Agreements (bailment, teaming, non-disclosure, joint development, licensing, cooperative agreements and other Transactions)
Demonstrated experience working as the primary contractual liaison both directly with US Government Customers and Major Aerospace Prime Contractor Customers and various military and classified platforms; including all phases of product development, production, and post-delivery support
Working knowledge of DPAS, Government Property, Cybersecurity/Security requirements, Export Regulations, and Environmental initiatives
Proficiency in MS Office and SAP
US CITIZENSHIP required (Single Citizenship only). Active or prior security clearance required
