Innovation Field Lab New York is a two-year program comprising data-driven experimentation, real-time innovation and improvement, and executive education for cities in New York State that aim to develop capabilities for cross-silo performance leadership. The Field Lab works with a unique collaborative of cities and organizations named Cities for Responsible Investment and Strategic Enforcement Program (Cities RISE) that provides cities with an opportunity to pilot creative and forward-thinking local initiatives in the fight against blight and distressed properties. Innovation Field Lab New York's role is to help municipal leaders to develop new policies and programs, navigate the barriers to implementing new programs, and use data to test and measure the success of these innovations.
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager for Innovation Field Lab New York, and working closely with the Academic Director of the Innovations in Government Program, the Program Coordinator will provide financial, logistical, and programmatic support for thefull portfolio of activities of Innovation Field Lab New York. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for general administrative functioning of the project, including scheduling regular phone/video conference calls and meetings, making travel arrangements, and corresponding with all participating cities and collaborating organizations. Primary financial duties will include processing financial transactions (reimbursements, invoices, and corporate card transactions), liaising with financial offices to submit monthly financial reporting and ensuring all receipt documentation is properly accounted for and recorded.
The Program Coordinator will have occasional research and communication responsibilities such as draft and edit correspondence, coordinate electronic mailings, and maintain web presence on Ash Center platforms and social media. The Program Coordinator fields and responds to inquiries andspecial requestsforinformationand assistance. The Program Coordinator supports the team in data collection and helps in preparing presentations and publications. For example, the Program Coordinator assists in preparing a monthlydata-report highlighting importantpatterns,changes,outliers, and newperspectives tobesentto cities ahead of monthly check-ins.
This position is a full benefits-eligible term appointment ending December 24, 2020.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant administrative support experience through previous positions, internships, or practicums.
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience handling multiple administrative tasks and prioritizing them to changing needs, and seeing tasks to completion in a timely manner. Professional and highly organized. Ability to work well both independently with minimal supervision and on a collaborative team. Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing with high-level individuals and groups, to juggle multiple tasks, to meet deadlines, and to maintain high standards. Detail-oriented, flexible, critical thinking skills, and comfortable in an academic environment. Interest in and familiarity with issues relevant to municipal government preferred. Research, writing, editing, and proofreading experience. Proficiency in Word, Excel, e-mail, PowerPoint, and Internet tools. Ability to learn and use new technical and financial tools.
