School of Nursing and Health Studies - Collaborative to Advance Health Services
The Collaborative to Advance Health Services at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Nursing and Health Studies seeks an outstanding Sr. Program/Project Support Coordinator whose primary role will be to serve as a Technology Transfer Specialist on a federally funded project. This is position is available immediately, and is also 100% funded through a contract and is contingent upon available funding.
OVERALL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership in program and resource development. Direct national initiatives in the behavioral health field, create project teams, and serve as resource for project development and completion.
Participate in and represent the Collaborative to Advance Health Services in high-level meetings for a high-visibility project. Facilitate collaboration and communication among key stakeholders, including local/state/federal government officials, in HHS Region 7 and across the United States.
Lead a team of experts in substance use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery to provide high-quality, appropriate training and technical assistance to build the capacity of the country to comprehensively respond to the opioid epidemic. The team of experts will include physicians, nurses, counselors, social workers, community outreach workers, recovery peer support professionals, and others.
Receive and evaluate requests for assistance from local, state and national entities. Assess needs through various data collection methodologies. Design technical assistance plans using evidence-based implementation strategies as outlined in implementation science literature to respond to requests in a way that will meet those needs.
Ensure objectives of sponsored projects are successfully and efficiently met within appropriate timelines.
Create and deliver presentations.
Prepare and assist in the preparation of project-related reports and grant applications.
Supervise consultants, contractors, and other team members.
Supervised by Project Directors/Principal Investigators of sponsored programs.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, ABILITIES & PERSONAL QUALITIES
Must have extensive experience in leading teams and facilitating collaboration.
Must have exceptional project management skills and be detail-oriented.
Must be culturally competent, with ability to work effectively with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Must have awareness of implementation science literature.
Must be innovative and creative in programming.
Must have a participatory management and planning style with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Must be articulate and professional in oral and written communication.
Must be able to use Microsoft Office programs proficiently. Preference given to individuals with skills in Microsoft Project and the Penelope case management system.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Senior management and supervisory experience.
Preference given to individuals with experience in the human services fields, especially as it relates to treatment of opioid use disorders.
Familiarity with federal policies related to behavioral health, especially substance use disorders.
Preference given to individuals with lived experience related to the health and wellness of people with special healthcare needs that relate to the grants implemented by the Collaborative (e.g., LGBT health, women's health, behavioral health).
Full Time/Part Time
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary Range - $47,476 to $65,468
