Administration and maintenance of accounting systems and records for governmental and enterprise funds.
Financial statement preparation.
Assist with preparation of CAFR and other financial reports.
Work with auditors on interim, annual and special audits.
Implementation of GASB Standards.
Supervision of staff.
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus at least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in governmental accounting. Must have strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, and familiarity with spreadsheet and word processing software. CPA required.
Additional Salary Information: Starting salary commensurate with experience.

The Comptroller is an elected official answering directly to the citizens of Orange County and serves as a check and balance for the public in the use of County resources. This results in heightened levels of transparency, the protection of public assets, and the greatest accounting integrity possible.
Services performed by the County Comptroller can be classified into three broad categories: Financial, Audit, and Records Administration. The Comptroller’s specific roles include serving as chief financial officer, county auditor, clerk of the board, recorder, and custodian of the county funds and records.
