The VA Medical Center in Manchester, NH, seek a one full-time and one part-time, LPN for the CLC Geriatrics and Extended Care Service Line. The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the direction of an RN and reports to the CLC Nurse Manager. The LPN is part of a team of health care professionals and is responsible for duties including, but not limited to:
Providing nursing care.
Performing procedures and treatments.
Promoting ethical practice.
Responding to medical emergencies.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary team to identify patient education needs.
Documenting nursing care, nursing interventions and patient response.
Initiating incident reports.
Documenting patient education/discharge planning.
Reporting information to RN regarding assigned patients.
Participating in development of initial Plan of Care.
Floating to other units as requested.
Adhering to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
Maintaining a safe environment.
Maintaining computer system security.
Maintaining currency in nursing practice.
Work Schedule: 3:30 p.m. to midnight, or midnight to 8:00 a.m., full or part-time

Must possess a full, active, current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory of Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Must be a graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate state agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) at the time the program was completed by the applicant. (Health care education or training in the military service which is accepted by the licensing body in the jurisdiction in which the individual is licensed as qualifying for full LPN/LVN licensure will be accepted as meeting the education requirements for VHA employment.)
