It's truly an opportunity to make an impact on a huge scale.Primary Responsibilities: Assist Clinical Operations Leadership Team in monitoring of all daily tasks completed within the Clinical Operations Department Provide guidance to staff regarding electronic processing of medical information within an internal database Perform QA Evaluate and approve medical order requests and determine appropriate Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) to assign for identified health conditions indicated on order requests per the contract requirements Ongoing communication within Clinical Operations Department and other LHI departments to ensure claims files are received timely Effectively complete bookmarking for medical claims file Communicate with a diverse group of people / disciplines while serving as a point of contact (POC) for internal and external entities Monitor, manage and prioritize all Clinical Operations order related tasks for this role to facilitate controlled workflow to meet or exceed contractual requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to work with a diverse group of people / disciplines at all levels of the organization Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as detail oriented work with a high level of accuracy and ability to work independently Knowledge of office procedures and terminologies
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED (or higher)1+ years of leadership experience1+ years of experience with prioritizing projects, meeting critical deadlines and / or multi-tasking while working in a fast paced environment Medical Assistant, LPN, Health Information Technology (HIT), EMT, Medic, Corpsman, completion of the Clinical Upskilling course OR completion of the following 4 courses: Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Human Body Systems, and Common Diseases Ability to import data within Microsoft Excel Ability to utilize header / footer function within Microsoft Word Knowledge of medical documentation and medical terminologyAbility to work 11:30 am - 8:00 pmPreferred Qualifications: Occupational health and behavioral health experience Database knowledge and / or experience ICD coding experience Experience reporting statistical data Military experience National Career Readiness CertificateCareers with Optum.
