Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Managing and driving strategy for transactional communications across UHC segments Employer and Individual, Medicare & Retirement , Community & State as well as OptumSupporting the Director of Segment Strategy with the following: drive strategic planning for communications improvement, overall relationship management across the organization, readiness activities/reporting, and the lead point of contact for enterprise, business segment and department objectives and initiatives for transactional communicationsWill collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization and will support the leadership of Enterprise Correspondence with governance, strategy and execution for all transactional communications, regardless of medium of deliveryLeads team that drives strategy for transactional communications and provides health literacy improvement to transactional communicationsOwnership of Transactional Communication Strategic Planning Drive/own short and long term planning Drive/own communication plans with stakeholders and partners Drive Innovation Governance (including member experience)Voice/Tone –Ensure changes to Voice/Tone/Just Plain Clear/Writer's Guide are championed, trained, and followedCompliance – Develop advocacy plan Health Literacy – ensure all areas developing member communications are trained to follow Health Literacy guidelinesProvide Transactional Communication expertise to the Communications Operations and Production team.Develop Champion/Challenger model to oversee communication changes and determine metric-driven reviews of change impacts
Required Qualifications:5+ years of successful operational business program execution and management of a department and/or team Prior experience collaborating with various stakeholders within a large matrixed organization Proven track record of effective problem solving and leading a team 5+years of experience building effective business processes and metrics to measure business performance, quality, and cost in order to make sound business decisions (NPS, VOC, Customer Experience, Team Member experience)Understanding of: government guidelines, compliance, regulations (i.e. CMS, Healthcare Re-form)Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to present solutions and complex data to leadership in an organized and succinct fashionIntermediate to advanced PowerPointPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher preferably in Business, Finance or Marketing or related field Thorough understanding of Managed Care/Healthcare business lifecycle, governances, and regulationsCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
