Under the supervision of the Medical DivisionChair, XI of Endocrinology-Clinical, provides exceptional care to a diversepatient population in areas of Endocrinology and Diabetes. Promotes wellness and health maintenance byperforming comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic medical services. Implements standard protocol in assessingactivities in the diabetes center and provides diabetic quality assurance forinpatients with diabetes. Develops andimplements patient management plans in providing continuity of care. Treats endocrine diseases across thecontinuum of care throughout Cook County Health & Hospitals System (CCHHS)clinical sites. Maintains professional and technical knowledge throughcontinued educational programs and workshops supporting emerging healthcaretrends. Performs duties within the legalguidelines of the CCHHS policies.
Graduateof an Accreditation Review Commission (ARC) Physician Assistant program
ValidPhysician Assistant license in the State of Illinois or have the ability toobtain license prior to starting employment
BoardCertified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants(NCCPA)
ValidIllinois Controlled Substances License (ILCS) or ability to obtain licenseprior to starting employment
Validlicensure with the Federal DEA or ability to obtain license prior to startingemployment
Must possess a valid Basic LifeSupport (BLS) certification
Must possess a valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
