Associate’s degree and 3 or more years of Human Services experience OR Bachelor's degree and 1 or more years of Human Services experience
1 or more years SOAR application experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong ability to understand key pieces of information, separating relevant from irrelevant information. This includes the ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times.
The ability to assess client needs, create plans (i.e., care plans, service plans, treatment plans), facilitate referrals, and follow-up in order to address barriers and ensure service is continuous and comprehensive. This includes the ability to utilize tools (i.e., adherence counseling, risk assessment) for case management purposes.
The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, positive working relationships with supervisors, staff, department managers, customers/clients, and partner agencies.
The ability and willingness to respect and value the differences and perceptions of different groups/individuals. This includes managing the diverse cultural, ethnic, gender, age, educational, professional, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, etc. backgrounds and styles of others and adapting one’s own behavior to best manage the situation, and seeking out those individual differences to implement and achieve the vision and mission of the organization.
