Job Summary: The entry-level position performs building design and engineering services for all aspects of electrical engineering on the most complex healthcare facility projects, from concept through construction and into the operational phase of the facility.
Required Experience: 0-3 yrs of relevant experience
Required Education: Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Undergraduate degree in engineering a must; ABET accredited
May require security clearance eligibility.

The electrical engineer is expected to be responsible for scheduling and prioritizing own work and to possess the ability to handle multiple priority tasks under deadlines.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and results-oriented, able to perform and solve problems independently, takes pride in their work, takes initiative, and makes sound decisions with minimal oversight.
The electrical engineer is expected to be involved in professional societies related to the building design industry. The ideal candidate will take the necessary steps to progress and grow into the PE role.
The electrical engineer reports to the engineering manager. Some travel to client sites may be required for meetings or for construction services.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Attention to detail
Familiarity of lighting and power systems in buildings desired
The engineer is expected to have sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing among various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions
Desire to learn applicable design software i.e. AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, Construction Estimating systems, and other design and project scheduling software.
Expert level of MS Office Suite programs and Adobe Acrobat
Prepare and assist with engineering designs, studies and reports for various facilities including healthcare facilities and corporate office complexes
Prepare building electrical plans and schematics on AutoCAD/Revit
Prepare technical calculations, specifications, material estimates, technical reports, and portions of design memoranda.
Makes site visits to identify and eliminate conflicts with conservation criteria.
Provide solutions to electrical construction issues.
Coordinate reviews and recommends approval action of shop drawings, submittals, and O&M manuals submitted on construction projects.
Collaborate in multi-disciplinary design team meetings
Other design / engineering tasks as assigned
