Oversee the day-to-day operation of the airport, including the airfield, terminal, and landside. Ensure that the airport operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Serve as the primary point of contact for information regarding safety, security, compliance, construction, airlines, passengers, tenants, and airport neighbors.
Broad-based knowledge of airport and airline operations and safety management system, theory, systems, and design. Thorough knowledge of 14 CFR parts 77 and 139, associated Advisory Circulars, 49 CFR 1500 series, the Airport Certification Manual, Title 49 part 1542, and NIMS. The ability to interpret technical journals and read construction drawings. Knowledge and understanding of all subsections of FAR 139 including surface movement guidance and control systems, wildlife management, emergency planning, snow removal, and foreign object debris . Familiarity with various government agencies, including the FAA, Customs and Border Protection, and the Transportation Security Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS: Combination of education and experience demonstrative knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to:
•Bachelor's degree in an aviation or related field; •Three (3) years of work experience in public, private, or military airport/flight operations; •Ability to complete the American Association of Airport Executive (AAAE) Certified Member (CM) program within two years of hire date; and •Ability to obtain a Concealed Pistol License within 60 days from the date of hire.
•Experience as a pilot or crew member; and/or •Experience in an airfield, terminal, or landside environment or as an airline manager, airline dispatcher, air traffic controller or similar position; •Supervision of personnel to include labor unions; AAAE's Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) designation.

For the fourth straight year, Sea-Tac served a record number of passengers in 2014, the fastest growth of any U.S. airport.
The Port is working on a Sustainable Airport Master Plan to ...look ahead five, 10 and 20 years in the future to manage growth. The capital budget for the airport includes $1.9 billion in projects over the next five years. This includes the renovation and expansion of the north satellite, a new International Arrivals Facility, a new high-speed baggage system, and the reconstruction of the center runway.
