The Administrative Associate to the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC)– Clinical Simulation (iExcel) is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties. The position will assist and relieve the AVC in routine and non-routine responsibilities of the daily operation and administrative aspects for iExcel (Clinical Simulation Department). This position, assists the AVC with daily operation and administrative aspects of the department and provides a high level administrative support. The position must be thoroughly familiar with institutional and administrative policies and know where and how to elicit such information. The associate also acts in a liaison capacity between the AVC and various faculty, departments, governmental agencies, industry partners and the NU Foundation in terms of transmitting administrative information, decisions and directives and requires a high level of independent judgment, independent thinking, and decision-making in situations of AVC absence. This is a confidential position as the assistant interfaces with donors, high level national and global leaders, donors, faculty, staff, residents and students, and also may be the first line contact for industry representatives, Government officials, the Military and University donors.
