Williamson County Animal Center is seeking a Full-time Veterinarian to oversee and provide medical treatment for animals received and adopted through the Williamson County Animal Shelter. Williamson County is proud of its progressive attitude and its desire for the highest possible save rate for animals brought to our shelter and is seeking a Veterinarian who shares those goals. Applicants must have graduated from a college or university accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. The clinic schedule is business hours, Monday through Friday. Benefits include outstanding medical and dental coverage as well as paid vacation, sick time and holidays. Full-time employees also participate in the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System. License renewal, insurance and CE’s paid by the County.
Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Tennessee and have a DEA license for controlled substances. Duties will include, but not be limited to, perform spay/neuter on animals, oversee euthanasia of animals, investigate cruelty cases, and develop and revise operating procedures. Experience in shelter medicine in a high volume environment is preferred.
