Join us and start doing your life's best work.Our Customer Service teams have a serious responsibility to make every contact informative, productive, positive, and memorable for what it says about how much we care.Employees in this position include those responsible for initial Triage of members, Administrative Intake of members or managing the Admission / discharge information post-notification, and working with hospitals and the Clinical team. Function includes managing Incoming calls, managing requests for services from Providers / members, providing information on available Network services and transferring members as appropriate to Clinical staff. Also manages the Referrals process, processes Incoming and Outgoing Referrals, and Prior Authorizations. This function also includes Intake, Notification and Census roles.This will be an on-site Clinical Administrative Coordinator at our office on Two Allegheny Center Suite 600 - Pittsburgh, PA 15212.Primary Responsibilities:Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendanceDrafting of NOA / NOE letters for government and Commercial Specific clientsResponsible for ensuring the letter documentation meets client, regulatory and accreditation requirementsKnowledge of the State and Federal regulations concerning the services and benefits.Must demonstrate understanding of the program by selecting the correct letter templateOther duties as assigned by manager and / or director
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED2+ years of professional experience in an Office / Customer Service environment2+ years of professional experience in Clerical or Administrator work1+ years of experience with Medical TerminologyPrevious experience working with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft OutlookComputer proficiency including, but not limited to, ability to learn new computer system applicationsAbility to work an 8-hour shift Tuesday through Saturday (Tuesday - Friday the schedule will be 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Saturdays the schedule will be 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM.) and work overtime if there is a business needPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher2+ years of professional experience in an office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties, or 2+ years of Customer Service experience analyzing and solving customer problemsExperience working within the Healthcare Industry, Hospital, Physician's Office, or Medical Clinical setting, Medical Terminology, ICD and CPT Codes, Medicare, Medicaid Services, and / or Call Center environmentHealthcare or Insurance Benefits experienceExperience in a Medical office billing or Medical Assistant / ClerkExperience with production of NOA / NOE LettersKnowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial programsSoft Skills:Ability to multi-taskExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, rapidly changing environmentStrong aptitude for working in a production driven environmentMust be a self-starter and able to work independentlyConstantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendanceCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
