As a Consumer Technical Architect, you will be responsible for understanding, synthesizing, and evolving an integrated consumer engagement platform across multiple delivery channels. You will be partnering with multiple lines of business to ensure that this Consumer Experience is consistent and that UnitedHealthcare is creating a seamless experience for individuals. This includes all consumer-facing delivery channels (web portals, mobile apps, IVRs, Contact Center apps, Marketing, Fulfillment) and the corresponding Consumer Data strategy. Primary responsibilities will include: Ensuring that consumer related capital programs stay aligned to the UnitedHealthcare technology strategy while leveraging existing components and capabilities across the business landscape Modeling the technical landscape to analyze the alignment of business capabilities with delivered technology and IT solutions Analyzing the current technology environment to detect opportunities for improvement and collaborating with enterprise architecture and development teams to recommend solutions 'Selling' the Enterprise Architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results Defining the principles that guide technology decisions Designing and leading the implementation of Technology Architecture (reference architecture) based on business requirements and IT strategies, as well as being a champion to rectify gaps and 'pain points' within the current state Influencing the development, communication and implementation of the enterprise technology architecture Designing solutions following the roadmap incorporating technical, information management, and business architecture architectural tenets Building end-to-end solution plans that define the ideal and future state systems solution, scope of solution initiatives, solution delivery sequencing, assumptions and risks Assisting with the governance activities associated with ensuring Enterprise Technology Architecture compliance Consulting on solution architecture implementations and modification activities (projects), particularly for new and/or shared solutions Participating in the evaluation and selection of technology and product standards, as well as the designing of standard configurations Facilitating change and process improvement within the architecture community Collaborating with quality teams to drive continuous improvement for technology solutions
5 + years of experience in Consumer focused technology domains such as mobile devices, portals and/or CRM implementations 5 + years of experience in Consumer Experience design 5 + years of experience in software design and development Proven technology modeling skills Demonstrated ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives Track record of success applying multiple technical solutions to business problems Excellent planning and organizational skills Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation Ability to understand the long-term (big picture) and short-term perspectives of situations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience with digital technology solutions Experience with business process modeling and business process management Experience with large scale domain or enterprise solution analysis development, selection and implementation Experience with strategic planning, portfolio management, and/or application/technology road mapping Broad systems architecture design, planning and implementation experiences Knowledge of IT governance Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
