The Moody's content management system (CMS) provides the authoring and publishing system for global research. The Research operations team seeks a Data Analyst to support major data migration initiatives in progress and planned for CMS, as well as business-as-usual operational support for research data processes.

Candidate must have excellent verbal and writing skills - ability to interpret and describe complex data strategy and milestones to business stakeholders. Proven and demonstrable ability to interpret technical processes and requirements and write and describe them in clear, non-technical, business documentation.
Teamwork and relationship skills, workstream leadership : Candidate will work closely with Technology teams, business Data governance, Operations, and have touch points with Research Controls and Compliance.
The ability to manage the change process, to understand implications of data quality, to measure the cost and benefits of data quality, and to detect and correct errors in databases.
Possesses strong attention to detail.
Self-starter who understands what needs to be done and is capable managing their own and their direct reports schedule (if applicable). Ability to work in a self-directed and independent manner.
Testing and QA responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible for Quality Assurance testing strategies, use cases, and be the point person for managing the testing implementation for the business users.
Ability to train, direct and provide task and testing plans, oversee as dotted-line manager for an off-shore testing team
Data management and analysis: ability to perform gap analysis between current and future state, make recommendations, and drive to deliverables with timelines and teams.
Release management: manage ongoing data releases with data governance stakeholders, CMS team(s) and ownership for quality and validation. Expertise with the software development life cycle.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Access and MS Excel (exposure to advanced macro writing using VBA).
Additional Experience and Skills which would be a plus:
Expertise in SQL query writing in a relational database environment (Sybase or SQL Server preferred) with 2-4 years of relevant work experience. BI/QA tool knowledge.
Expertise in ODBC or other data interface APIs.
Ability to import, analyze, validate or model data for decision making purposes.
Exposure to ETL tools. Prior experience with a business intelligence/reporting tool is a plus.
Exposure to SharePoint technologies.
