As a leader within the technology architecture team for United Healthcare's Network and Provider CIO Organization, you will be accountable for driving technology planning activities to enable business change and progress. You will develop solution recommendations and perform analysis activities to ensure that programs and their respective solutions are aligned to the corporate technology strategy while leveraging enterprise components when possible. You will develop and lead a team of Solutions Architects while providing technology thought leadership across the Provider (and related) domains. Primary responsibilities will include: Serve as the single point of leadership for Provider IS Technology Solutions engagements with the businessUnderstand business strategy, objectives and stakeholdersUnderstand contractual obligations and alignment to business capabilitiesUnderstand current state of the business and the supporting technology Partner with business architecture resources to develop current state technology landscapes that support the business capabilitiesPartner will delivery organizations to achieve successful program resultsUnderstand and document applications, data, platforms and infrastructure relative to how they can be used to improve the businessDrive strategic and transitional planning for applications, information and business functions Research, identify, and recommend innovative solutions for solving business problemsDevelop future state technology landscapes and supporting capability roadmapsDevelop and managing technology roadmaps for migrating to desired future state Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment to technology roadmaps and solutionsSupport governance processes to ensure overall program and technology quality standardsEngage in RFP responses and SOW activities in partnership with vendor and program management teamsDevelop a high performing team
Strong team player (and leader) who understands Payer and Provider industry segment technologies, infrastructure, and related solution development. S/he will work well within a matrixed management structure and will possess a broad enterprise-wide view of the business. S/he will have exceptional communication skills and proven business acumen to successfully engage all levels of the organization. Specific experiences will include: Prior experience as a Solution Architect15 + years of business/ technology experience5 + years of experience with broad systems architecture design, planning and implementation 5 + years of experience in software solution, design and engineering 5 + years of experience with technology modeling skills, including application, data and technology5 + years of experience with strategic planning and application/technology road mapping5 + years of establishing consensus (within a peer group of technology professionals) on solutions or technology roadmaps3 + years of experience with Payer and Provider enterprise-wide solutions, processes, enabling technologies and knowledge of how IT supports those solutions3 + years of experience at the intersection of Business and IT Strategy Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with a consulting firm on enterprise Payer and/or Provider solutions selection or implementationLeadership experience in a technology architecture organizationKnowledge of EMR and EPMS integrations and interface standards Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
