The U.S. Business Development (Navy/USMC Team) Senior Manager is responsible for interacting with all Raytheon business units and DoD customers in support of developing / delivering mission solutions to naval aviation operational capability needs. The incumbent should have Naval Aviation operational experience and familiarity with CVN Battle Group Operations and/or Marine Aircraft Group operations. An established network of Pentagon contacts and a working knowledge of the OPNAV and/or HQMC staffs, in addition to the OSD staff, is also a necessity.
The incumbent will become familiar with the employment of Raytheon air-to-air and air-to-ground munitions; aircraft defensive and offensive Electronic Warfare systems; aircraft sensors, displays, communications, and navigation equipment; unmanned aircraft control and mission systems; ancillary aviation equipment, as well as training and logistical support for the aforementioned weapons systems. A deep understanding of Naval “kill chains” will aid the incumbent in becoming an integral member of collaborative teams encompassing the full spectrum of the company’s technical expertise working to develop “One Raytheon” solutions for Naval / Department of Defense capability needs. The incumbent must demonstrate strong skills and competencies in written and verbal communications; task management; leadership of small groups; and the ability to effectively interact with senior leaders in the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, other Department of Defense organizations, as well as Raytheon’s leadership. The position is located at 1100 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA.
12+ years progressive experience in the military or working with military customers – specifically Naval Aviation. Executive Assistant experience to a senior operational commander is highly desirable. Business experience in product line development or program management would be desirable.
Deployed Naval Aviation operational experience. Aircraft carrier and/or Amphibious Readiness Group flight operations exposure is highly desirable.
Familiarity with the Pentagon and the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps staffs.
Ability to analyze and evaluate naval missions, requirements, technologies and capabilities. Experience in Naval and/or Joint requirements generation is highly desirable.
Familiarity with the defense acquisition system. Experience in ASN(RD&A) and/or OUSD AT&L is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of Electronic Warfare and Information Warfare is highly desirable.
Proven ability to develop strong and enduring customer relationships. Proactive, responsive, consistent and persistent in interactions with customers.
Demonstrated success in leading and solving problems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
U.S. Citizenship is required as this position needs a U.S. TS security clearance with current SBI.
