We are seeking a Facilities Director to lead the Property Management Maintenance function at our Fort Riley location. With new construction, this housing location is approximately 3800 units, spread over 5 communities. This leadership role works in with other leadership roles within the company in the development and implementation of the full community management plan (asset, property and fiscal management) at the installation. The Facilities Director provides support to the maintenance staff on a daily basis and leads the day to day operations of a multi-family property management portfolio providing superior customer service and living experience , maximizing occupancy, achieving financials goals, developing team members and managing vendor services. Responsible for fostering an environment of team work and a culture of accountability while adhering to the standard operating procedures and company guidelines.
Skills and Experience:
Requires 8+ years' experience in managing a multi-site residential portfolio of at least 2000 units with property management organization.
Requires 5+ years' experience directly supervising a team of 6 or more.
Requires 5+ years' progressive experience in property or facility management, maintenance, purchasing and contracting.
Strong Microsoft Office skills and YARDI (or similar industry software) required.
OSHA Training Certification, Environmental Compliance Certification, Mold Remediation Certification, and trade skills/license strongly preferred.
Proven success in organizational development, process improvement, budgeting, financial management, leadership and technician trade experience. Requires demonstrated ability to be creative, flexible, and adaptable to new situations and assignments.
Yardi Property Management software or equivalent industry software is strongly preferred.
Astute in operating statements, budgets, purchase orders and proforma.
Requires an ability to collaborate with other functional areas and problem solve to make strategic decisions.
Approximately 25% travel required.
Use of personal vehicle is required.
