We have an opportunity for a Configuration Analyst with experience in building and configuring Products within a new business configurable system (similar to Facets). In this role you will design, build, and validate across functional areas. You will support complex system configuration changes and new configuration requirements, including configuration analysis, design, build and testing. Duties include troubleshooting and fixing system configuration errors, performing investigations and root cause analysis of trouble tickets, and ensuring day to day issues are identified and appropriately addressed. This role is office based in Minnetonka, MN. The role is available to telecommuters who are willing and able to travel to MN, generally once per month for meetings and training. This is a challenging role that creates an opportunity to grow and develop while doing your life's best work.(sm) Primary ResponsibilitiesConfiguration DesignAnalyze products, contracts and pricing, design/configure benefit plans and clinical rules, conduct configuration validation, and perform configuration peer reviewCommunicate design to all stakeholders at varying levels of the organizationPresent and evaluate design solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolutionUse and communicate design patterns and best practices in service-oriented analysis, design and developmentConfiguration Build & MaintenanceConfigure new business within a health plan configuration system (e.g. Facets)Configure products / benefits, provider agreements, fee schedules, and capitation within health plan configuration system (e.g. Facets)Configuration Quality AssuranceSupport quality assurance and testing within health plan configuration system (e.g. Facets) to ensure configuration is ready for implementationCollaborate with quality assurance team to ensure testing efforts align with system deliveries and business processesRecommend strategies to improve service development life cycle and governance processes
Required Qualifications:2 + years configuration experience working in a business configurable system 2 + years' experience identifying patterns within quantitative data, drawing conclusions and recommending solutions and approaches; skilled with end-to-end issue resolution Intermediate or greater level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Non local applicants must be willing and able to travel to MN up to 25% of the time for meetings and trainingsPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related area preferredProduct & Benefit Configuration experienceProduct & Benefit Analysis knowledgeProvider (Contract and Pricing) Configuration experienceProvider Pricing Analysis knowledgeKnowledge of data structures within a health plan configuration system Experience with FACETS or a similar software Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
